Why Are Static HTML Websites Still Great For Search Engines?

We know that everyone loves flash but text based websites still come top when it comes to the search engines.

There's an awful lot we can do to make a static HTML website look lively using CSS (cascading style sheets) to change menus and make them look dynamic, and what really counts is that you give excellent content for your readers.

Fill your pages with good quality content and a well presented HTML / Static website can still get you the business that you want from your website.

We'd recommend a Content management system of course for growth but it's your call (we can only make recommendations and your business is what counts).

Static HTML websites still make a great starting point for your business.  Just get online and the rest can be dealt with later.

If you're looking for just a simple 3-5 page website to get you some sort of online presence then we can start with a static HTML website (well presented and well designed of course), without much in the way of bells and whistles.

One of our own group websites Trusty Leaflet Distribution started off as a very basic HTML / CSS static website but by using good SEO techniques we still managed to rank 2nd on google throughout the UK for leaflet distribution and various other associated keywords.

Of course, since then as we've developed the business and the website we've gone down the dynamic route with a content management system, etc, but it just goes to show that decent content is what counts. Search engines don't see all the flashy animations as humans do so much animation goes wasted on them. Whilst they are getting better at index flash based websites, text is still king.

If you would like to discuss having a static HTML / CSS website built then do not hesitate to contact us at Trusty Web Design to discuss your website design needs.

Primarily we are based in Manchester, but this is the internet and using all kinds of communication tools we are able to provide a remote web design service throughout all UK areas.
